Hoerr Schaudt, the landscape architecture firm of Peter Schaudt MLA ’84 (1959-2015), has released its first-ever monograph, Movement and Meaning: The Landscapes of Hoerr Schaudt (Monticelli Press 2017). Dedicated to Schaudt, the monograph looks at forty-five public, private, and cultural projects by Hoerr Schaudt–one of the most prominent landscape architecture firms in the Midwest. It explores the art and science behind innovative landscape design techniques, and includes such works as the Daley Plaza in Chicago, the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, and the McGovern Centennial Gardens in Houston.
