Emanuel Christ and Christoph Gantenbein established Christ and Gantenbein in 1998. The works of this office, realized in Switzerland, Germany, England, China, and Mexico, range from private to public commissions and from small transformations to homes, office buildings, bridges, and urban master plans. Current projects include an extension to Basel’s Kunstmuseum, the renovation and extension of the Swiss National Museum in Zürich, and an extension to the Wallraf-Richartz-Museum and Fondation Corboud in Cologne. In 2010, after teaching experiences in Switzerland and abroad, Christ and Gantenbein assumed professorships at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, where they research urban architectural typologies.
