The Architectural League of New York announced Alex Yueyan Li MArch ’21 as a winner of the 2025 League Prize for Young Architects + Designers. Alex is the co-founder of the research-driven design practice 11 x 17, recognized for their “portfolio of lean yet multifaceted projects that challenge divisions between architectural products and processes.”

Established in 1981 to recognize visionary work by young practitioners, the Architectural League Prize is a biennial competition, lecture series, and exhibition organized around a theme. This year, the Young Architects + Designers Committee asked entrants to interrogate “Plot” and map out the throughlines that shape their practice. Alex and 11 x 17 co-founder Mahsa Malek will present their work in an online exhibition opening June 10, followed by a virtual lecture on June 11. Learn more.
