Sarah Dennis-Phillips MLA ’00 Named Executive Director of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development for the City of San Francisco
Sarah Dennis-Phillips MLA ’00 has been announced as the new Executive Director of the Office of Economic and Workforce Development for the City of San Francisco. She previously worked at Tishman Speyer in executive leadership as well as at the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and now returns as Executive Director. Sarah, an experienced urban planner, began her commitment to San Francisco in 2005, initially within the Planning Department before advancing to Deputy Director of Development at OEWD in 2019. Her work includes revitalization, spearheading development initiatives, and playing a pivotal role in fostering an urban community characterized by affordability, ample public spaces, and efficient transit systems. She holds degrees in urban planning and design from the University of Virginia and Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
