John K. F. Irving AB ’83, MBA ’89

With the Irving Group since 1983, John is President of Ocean Capital, companies active in real estate, broadcasting, construction, and building materials. He received a Bachelor of Arts (Economics CLGS) ’83 and Masters in Business Administration ’89 from Harvard and is the parent of a Class of 2017 Harvard graduate.

John is a member of numerous Harvard and Harvard Business School committees and engaged in a variety of other University activities. He is a member of The Institute of Corporate Directors (Audit Chair), Board of Directors of The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, Honourary Colonel 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, Past-Chair of The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, The Atlantic Institute for Market Studies, The New Brunswick Museum and membership on Kings Landing Historical Settlement and Heritage Canada Foundation.

John has been recognized for his involvement, commitment and support of various cultural, heritage and educational activities including the Harvard Hiram S. Hunn Memorial Award, amongst others.
