Sameer Bhargava AB ’95, MBA ’00

Sameer Bhargava is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Clark Construction Group, LLC, a building and civil contractor headquartered in Bethesda, MD with over $4 billion in revenue.

Previously, Mr. Bhargava was a managing director and director of corporate development at The Carlyle Group in Washington, DC, focused on firm strategy, acquisitions, and new product development. At Carlyle, Mr. Bhargava also spent time in Carlyle’s U.S. Buyout Fund investment team, both in its Global Aerospace and Defense Group and its Global Industrial Group. He has been part of the Board of Veyance Technologies, Kinder Morgan, Panolam Industries, Wesco, RPK Holdings, and Vought Aerostructures.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Bhargava was at Bain Capital, LLC, Advent International Corporation, and McKinsey & Company in Chicago.

Mr. Bhargava serves as Vice Chair of the board of The Potomac School and has served as chairman of the board for Higher Achievement, a program focused on middle school youth in at-risk communities.

Mr. Bhargava graduated from Harvard University with an honors degree in biology and received his MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He resides in Virginia with his wife Nimisha and their four children.
