Siddharth Yog MBA ’04

Siddharth Yog is a traveler, thinker, and theorist. 

In 2015 he set up Yuj through which he directs his various personal and philanthropic interests that include supporting private, public, social and cultural entrepreneurs, and grant making in the areas of education and vocational training, sustainable (de)urbanization, and the arts. 

He was a member of the Harvard Business School faculty between 2014 and 2019, researching and publishing numerous cases, and teaching courses on Investing in Emerging Markets and Real Property. Earlier he spent a decade as Managing Partner at the Xander Group, an investment firm he founded in 2005, before stepping down to pursue teaching and other philanthropic interests. In 2007 he also set up Virtuous Retail, an owner-operator of community oriented retail centers across India. 

Mr. Yog is a member of the President’s Global Advisory Council at Harvard University since 2011 and a member of the Dean’s Leadership Council at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design since October 2023.  He is also founder, trustee and member of the governing body of Ashoka, India’s leading liberal arts and sciences university. He has served as a trustee of the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, MA since 2015, and as a member of the President’s Council at Lincoln Center in New York since 2018.

Mr. Yog earned the degree of Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School with high distinction and was elected both a Baker Scholar and President of his Class. Earlier, he secured a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Economics at Delhi University and was elected head of the Shri Ram College Students’ Union.
