Join GSD alumni + friends for a tour of the green co-operatively-governed community Cully Grove in Portland, OR led by Eli Spevak LF’14. As the founder of development and general contracting company Orange Splot LLC, and Co-Developer and Construction Manager at Cully Grove, Eli playfully pioneers new models of community-oriented, affordable, green housing. 

This event is hosted by Alumni Council Member Nancy Cheng MArch ’90,  associate professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Oregon.

About Eli Spevak
Eli Spevak’s development and general contracting company Orange Splot LLC has pioneered new models of community-oriented, affordable, green housing in Portland, Oregon, through a blend of accessory dwelling units, renovated single family homes, detached bedrooms, refurbished apartments, and new multi-family construction. Before striking out on his own, he worked for over a decade in the nonprofit sector managing the finance and construction of affordable housing. On the side, Spevak engages in policy and advocacy work to remove regulatory & financing barriers to space-efficient housing.
